Newly diagnosed

Hello- this month through a series of routine blood work that sent me to a Hematologist I learned that I have CLL. My doctor ran all the genetic markers and said my prognosis looks good. He wants me to get a CAT scan before he stages me. In all the literature I read a cat scan is not routine. My question is: How many of you have had a cat scan during your watch and wait period? I am going to a CLL doctor in a few weeks to get a second opinion. Thank you so much for any input you can give me. It is wonderful to have a place to get others experiences with their journey.

Hi Gerlisa, I have had ct scans for my CLL but likely due to my bulky lymph nodes. I’m from the US too…but this group is not active …I’ve been a member for a year. If you post to CLLsupport—-you will get many more people to comment. And it is a great bunch of people always willing to offer help and a lending ear. Wish you well.
