Hi Sophie,

Apologies for not responding to your post earlier. Obviously the situation has changed since your question in terms of lockdown and so you will be observing the stringent social distancing measures that the government have put in place. Liver transplants and immunosuppression medication puts a child within the extremely vulnerable category along with some other conditions such as portal hypertension but any child who has a condition that places them within the extremely vulnerable category should receive a letter from the government or their GP. This will then indicate whether shielding for 12 weeks is advised. All of the information around this is available at gov.uk/coronavirus

If you need anything further please e-mail families@childliverdisease.org or check out our website for coronavirus information and updates.

Many thanks.
