Hello my son has had problems with his liver i just wondered if anyone has had problems with red/purple bruising just appearing ?

Hi there, If they are just appearing I would take him to get checked over with the doctor, though my son has low palates and bruises very easy. Do you think this could maybe be the reason?

Hi just saw your post on face book. Yes my son occasionally has had these. They are tiny like the size of a pin head and purple/red. He has had just one at a time and then they have disappeared. He has an abnormal liver (born that way and unknown cause) he has an enlarged spleen and low platelets but these are now staying above the minimum. To be honest I forgot about them as he hasn't had them for a few months.

I've been researching my sons uknown liver problem and came across an article about itp which may relate to your son.
