Hi all, just joined today as I was searching information on the Fast 800 use of full fat in recipes and dairy and any effect in cholesterol.I am on 25mg simvastatin following a diagnosis of a narrowing of a heart artery around 5 years ago and a higher level of cholesterol and my last cholesterol test was 4.1 last year.
I am a very active 58 yr old, was doing bootcamp twice a week, online cycle racing twice a week along with lower intensity rides also, so I am fully aware of the calorie in/out correlation for energy.
However I am currently injured and my last 2 months I have let my diet run away without the exercise I was doing.
I am thinking of doing the Fast 800 again after a relatively successful go at it 3/4 years ago whilst I am not really exercising albeit am doing some strength and core PT sessions since I can't do cardio due to my leg immobility affecting movement.
I have always struggled with the mentality of the need to lower fat intake and totally get the saturated fat issues, but despite searching, I can't seem to find a satisfactory viewpoint on the suitability of the Fast 800 and its use of high natural fats and its correlation to cholesterol... just enquiring if this question has been asked before as I can't seem to find a decent thread on it before all the answers go off on a tangent. TIA
