I get a terrible pain down my left arm it feels so heavy my arm also i get pain in my fingers too

Just wondered if its arthritus the pain

heartgirl, I agree with bala's advice to get yourself checked out at A&E - that pain is something you should not ignore. Arthritis would be unlikely in just one arm but women in particular have been known for pain down an arm to be a sign of an imminent heart attack. Hopefully, it will just be due to an injury of some sort, but you would be wise to get anything more serious ruled out asap.

Are you on a statin? It could be caused by that. In that case, discontinuing the statin will make the pain go away, usually within a few days.

Yes im on a statin have been on it for about 14 years

When i was statin for months during my early 20's, i had side effect of feeling very heavy, lethargic and my arm feel heavy, numb and tingling... it become better after I stop my statin but took some time. Also, my overall body get injury and muscle tear very easily and weak even after stopping statin for years..

Thank you all for your comments i went to see my gp and she want me to have my bloods done she said it might be a calcium defiencey ( wrong spelling i know)
