I have a very rare condition called Lipoprotein Lipase Deficiency (LPLD) which means I don't produce the enzyme lipase which breaks down fat. The only treatment currently available is to maintain a very low fat diet. If I do eat fat it travels around in my bloodstream causing me to get xanthomas, stomach pains and pancreatitis. There are information sheets on the condition on the HEART UK website.

I had them on my hands and feet (achilles tendons). I just had an operation one month ago on one foot.

Yes I have it. Lots of it. It was the reason I went for a cholesterol test (well once I'd googled painless orange lumps). What would you like to know?

I used to have them on my hands and also on my achilles tendons. I've had three operations to remove them. I still have one operation left for the second foot.
