I agree totally and the most enjoyable way for my daughter to feel better is to be out with her horses. She gets the love and affection as well as being outside and exercise while riding.

Hi! I had a brain tumor age5 and am now 40! My 1st degree was about early years and special needs and, for my dissertation, I wrote about how much animals help us mentally as well as physically. They are amazing! My youngest sister works with horses at our local animal shelter, Freshfields, and she loves them all so much I really don't know what she'd do without them! xxx

Hi jedistar, your dissertation sounds very interesting. There are many studies that show how much comfort and support animals can provide to people. I'm glad your sister enjoys working with horses. Do you visit the animal shelter too?

Hi PickyBanannas, thanks for sharing your daughter's experience with our community. It's great that she has found an activity that makes her happy and allows her to enjoy being outside and exercising at the same time!
