Monday Round up

Hi everyone,

How did last week go for you all?

I thought the weather in UK was extremely kind and it must have given some of you the opportunity to spend time in your lovely gardens and green spaces.

Maybe some of you managed to get out and about a little further. I don't know about you but, although I could now potentially do so, within proscribed safety limits, I just don't know where to go where there will be few enough other people! All being at home as we have been, demonstrates to me how overcrowded our little island is.

June's in full flow where I live, but with it comes a part disadvantage in that I have two large trees outside my apartment which are now thickly covered in foliage and they stop most of my attempts to be the slightest bit nosy about what's going on outside.

But of course the trees have life of their own and I enjoy the coming and going of birds and insects and the waving of branches and leaves in the summer breeze. (Kasar the cat's pretty interested too and can often be found doing that wobbly jaw and strange noise that cats make when they have their eye on a bird they can't pursue. (Happily!)

As mentioned in yesterday's post I did manage a picnic catch-up with my daughter and granddaughter, an early celebration of my birthday today, so today will just be the average day for me, but well made up for by seeing family again after so long.

So, off into another week we go. Do post and let me know how you are all doing, whether well or not so well! Share anything you care to, including pictures. All posts welcome. But meantime I hope your coming week is a really good one, whatever's happening where you are!

Hi Callendersgal, we had a good weekend and spent some time outside but only in the garden. I don’t feel inclined to go anywhere else as it’s all too busy. So many are now just doing their own thing, I’m too scared to go anywhere.

Take care and enjoy the sunshine if you can.

Thinking of you and your obscured view. What a pity.

Stay safe everyone. Xxxx

I'm glad you enjoyed your weekend sassy59. Why try to go further when you have a garden to enjoy. My sister said she'd had her first quick outing to post a letter on Friday and was really scared and insecure! I think that might be the aftermath of all of this.

I must admit, I do quite like it when the autumn comes and I can get a clearer look at what's going on outside. There's always some kind of drama, living in a city! Too good to miss! 😆

Nice to get outside, we have been able to do so also. Good time for birding and picnicking.
