Hi Lisad123,

First of all, as a newcomer to this community, a very warm welcome to you. I hope you'll receive some useful answers to your question.

I'm not an expert and in any case I couldn't say, based on what you've told us, whether or not you should be receiving more benefits than you are. But I can maybe point you into a reliable way to help find out.

The first way is online, via GovUK (gov.uk), looking under the benefits section, or, (probably more usefully), via your nearest CAB (Citizens' Advice Bureau). They'd be able to offer advice based on your actual circumstances and can also help with any action you need to take to have your case reviewed). Or, its website for general advice or local information is citizensadvice.org.uk

Very best wishes, and I hope you manage to get the help you need.

Hello Lisad123 and welcome,

Callendersgal has given you some useful links. I have just come across the link below which covers the extra money and help that you may be able to get.

You seem to be on the standard rate of Personal Independence Payment:

turn2us.org.uk/Benefit-guid...

Enhanced rate is £87.65p per week and requires 12 points or more.

You will probably have to apply for a reassessment to receive the Enhanced rate. Remember that the decision is not about your illness/es but how they affect your day to day life and how much help you need.
