Hello tadrussell,
There's a good bit of useful advice given in a post by the official Healthcare team about two weeks ago on Carers' Allowance. It's entitled 'Carers's Allowance, what are the rules?', and I tried to cut and paste it for you but the site won't allow this.
So if you put that title in the Search Care Community box at the top of the page, it should come up quite easily for you.
I think it's better to have this as your start point, as many of us have had quite different experiences when claiming and could confuse you about your chances of claiming successfully.
Hi tadrussell, and welcome to the forum. Please have a look at the pinned posts and related posts [to the right of the screen] and you will find some useful information. Let us know how you get on. Best wishes.
