I am 66 years old and my wife is a similar age. She has been diagnosed with Parkinsons Desease for more than 25 years and is doing rather well. However I am at a stage where I am reluctant to leave her on her own for any length of time and would appreciate help from anyone of a similar age to be with her on a regular or adhoc basis whenever I am not around. Activities she would enjoy is going out for coffee or shopping trips or staying in playing scrabble etc. If there is a retired or part time nurse available for a Saturday morning or perhaps days during the week I would love to hear from you. We are located in Hatch End, Pinner by the way

You both sound like amazing people, if your wife has a specialist nurse or attends a support group they may know of where you can find someone, good luck x

Hi Dekle , if you click on your profile picture/name at the top of the page and click on 'People Near Me' from the drop down list, you can enter your postcode in there. This will allow you to see which members of this community are close to you.

I hope this helps and I hope you find some of the support you need from this community!
