Hi, my name is Tamara. I am looking into a Kidney/Pancreas Transplant. I have 1 hospital that says yes. Went to UI last week and they are not sure because I have a little hardening of the arteries. Has anyone else had this issue.? I have been a type 1 diabetic for 30 years

My rare disease Nephrologist is at the University of Iowa. She is a very knowlegable Dr in her area. I had my transplant in Des Moines 7yrs ago. If the say they are not sure for some reason then it's probably a good call to hear what they have to say. When I had my transplant the Dr.s said the C3G had a 50% chance of coming back post transplant, which it has. I am currently down to 36% kidney function. But I remain hopeful that a cure or a treatment will be discovered
