Dear fellow T sufferers, I have been on the same path as you for almost five months now, after contracting COVID two months earlier. I was into meditation prior to COVID however T has presented challenges for this to continue. I have read “Rewiring tinnitus - how I finally found relief from the ringing in my ears” by Glenn Schweitzer and followed the advice but I am yet to notice a change.. early days I guess. I am also reading “Rock Steady - healing Vertigo or Tinnitus with Neuroplasticity” by Joey Rememyi but I am yet to practice this . I found the concept interesting but I expect I would have to put a lot of focus into it. Has anyone tried these sort of things and benefited from them ? My T is the “usual” high pitch in the left ear , constant + clicking . Coping with it but not ideal. Very good session with online tinnitus support group yesterday , re how to better cope with anxiety episodes caused by T . All the best to you all . I feel I am in good company

Books claiming to heal Tinnitus
Thanks for the update - I haven’t heard of that one but hope you can get good out of it.
Maybe let us know how you get on
Hi Billo. Sorry you have T. I've not read any books claiming to cure tinnitus . I've read Living with Tinnitus & Hyperacusis. Very good, informative & practical. And Tinnitus from Tyrant to Friend. Interesting ideas & approaches. I think people find things that work for them and write about it but these things may not work for everyone. Keep your expectations low - if possible. Good news you've found a support group. You're in company here too 🙂
HiI too am very interested in the Rock Steady . Do you mind me asking how much this book is , I have found comfort listening to some of her talks on Utube & find the whole concept very interesting . Please keep us updated on your progress & I will too be trying this one .
Hi Yogachamp, it was £13.35 on Amazon. About 300 pages - I am 1/2 way through and for people into meditation/mindfulness etc seems ideal . Will let you know what I got out of it when finished but there are plenty of daily exercises and I do not expect miracles , at least not overnight …
Hi Bill01Thanks for that yes def keep me posted on your progress please . I am going to get the book too but as you say it won’t be a quick fix then anything is worth a try .
How can I get onto this online support group that you’ve joined , sounds good
Hi Rabbit65, it was via the tinnitus.org.uk website , then go support / where can I get help / support groups. They run weekly sessions on various topics via Zoom. Really good to share experiences and help one another with insights. Run by the BTA (one day, Sat I believe run by their Vice President) so they know what they are talking about
It’s free to join by the way …
Thanks I will try register for that as I am really struggling at the minute .
