I wonder if anyone else has a had a similar experience to me? I'd been living with T for around 20 years, pretty much totally habituated. I'd also always had a bit of pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear, it never really bothered me but I heard that it could be a sign of something sinister so I thought maybe I should check it out, just to be safe. I really wish I hadn't. My GP suggested syringing first to eliminate ear wax, I've never really had a problem with ear wax build up but went with his advice. He prescribed Cerumol ear drops to soften the wax, as an eczema sufferer I also have sensitive skin, the ear drops ended up causing a terrible ear infection which needed antibiotics to clear up. At this point my regular T had really ramped up in level, the syringing went ahead whilst my ears were still sore. An MRI scan confirmed that my pulsatile T was nothing to worry about but now, after all that, my regular T is way worse, and a year and a half later shows no sign of abating. I really wish I'd left well alone as now my quality of life is worse than when my T started over 20 years ago. I've since learned that Cerumol ear drops can be problematic for people with Eczema. Be careful what you put in your ears, even if the Dr prescribed it.

Oh dear Ecotonic - what an experience!
Personally I’ve found that syringing (when they used to do it - they don’t now) and since then suctioning improved my T as I could hear the real world better. And being able to hear the real world helps keep the T at bay.
I do hope things improve for you.
Have you thought about breathing exercises? Also, walking out in the open air and listening to the trees and the birds and the wind - and the rain - is beneficial.
