I have just learned how important sleep is for lung disease. For 2 nights in a row I did not sleep well. On the 3rd night my breathing was so bad and had been all day. I actually fell asleep sitting up and didn’t wake until 5 in the morning and I’d left the light on. At 5 o’clock I switched light off and went back to sleep until 7 o’clock I felt so much better for approximately 9 hours sleep. After shower and dressing I did a really good chest clearance before starting nebuliser. This has convinced me that a good sleep is so good for me. Has anyone experienced this I’d love to hear from you

Sleep is really important for your health. You have also found out that sleeping upright sometimes helps too.

Thanks Mooka I learn something everyday from this forum. I have a friend who always sleeps upright because of her breathing I should have listened to her. I like to bury my head in the pillows however I know what to do next time
