I know I should stop taking ciprafloxicin if I have painful tendons in my feet/heels but what about calves? Went for a walk/run today and my calves are incredibly painful in a way I’ve never experienced before.🤭

From the black box warning for Ciprofloxacin:

‘If you experience any of the following symptoms of tendinitis, stop taking ciprofloxacin, rest, and call your doctor immediately: pain, swelling, tenderness, stiffness, or difficulty in moving a muscle.’

I stopped the Ciprofloxacin after 7 days on the advise of the resp nurse. However, I was taking it to combat pseudomonas (none colonized) and I've had no follow up sputum sample so have no idea whether its gone or still lurking! A bit worried! I was feeling OK when the second sample came back with pseudomonas after a course of Doxycycline. I now feel as though I'm on the cusp of another infection (increased productive cough, ridiculously tired and a bit breathless). My sputum looks normal. Any advice?
