No I had Doxycycline for 14 days prescribed by hospital. A targetted antibiotic after the sputum test. I had MRSA in my lungs.

Yes I have been on cipro on and off, mostly on for the best part of a year. I have pseudo monas and cipro is the only oral abx it is sensitive to. I call them evil. I feel tired on them, depressed and they seem to accentuate any pain that I have. My bug has now become resistant to them so I am on a double dose of iv abx. I will then be going onto nebulised abx. Have you taken the cipro yet or are you about to start?

Hi mooka sorry to hear that you are suffering so much, hope you feel better soon!! Yes Mooka I am on my second week (14 day course) of clarithromvcin, so far I do feel much better, only side effect is dry mouth... I hope all goes well for you in the future...

After 14 days on Tazocin for Pseudomonas I had 3 months nebulising Colymicin and was also put on Cipro. Only took it for 3 days as I got Tendonitis, so I'm forbidden to have it now.
