Edema is a common side effect of both Amlodopine and Prednisolone. medications. Is it exacerbated if both medicines taken concurrently?.

The side effect referred to above is indicated in the Patient Leaflets pertaining to the medications. Additionally I read on another patient information sheet that Amlodopine can sometimes interfere with some LFT readings notably those for bilirubin and i think the other was AST.

I have encountered outcomes with my own medical condition that seem to have some correlation with those referred to in both scenarios mentioned above and I shall be discussing it with my doctor when I can get an appointment in due course . Meantime would be glad to hear if anyone has had similar personal adverse side effect experieneces when taking these medications together?

This is just to close off my above un answered question.

Since raising the question I have had the discussion with the doctor and it appears that while Prednisolone is the most likely culprit in my case ; the situation hasn't been helped by the intake of Amlodopine and an alternative will now be considered.
