cirrhosis

hi. I was diagnosed in 2020 (hep c). I now have 6 monthly scans. Just had my latest one and was told no changes. I don’t take any medication and as yet have had no symptoms (thankfully) but this past few months I have had a few days when I just want to sleep. Could this be liver related or should I see my GP?

Fatigue is often a symptom of cirrhosis. When were your last bloods done and were they revealing any issues? There is no medication for cirrhosis but if symptoms start to appear they should be checked out. Maybe you need some blood tests to rule out other causes of fatigue (anaemia, thyroid etc.).

When I had cirrhosis, it was the only symptom I would present with (apart from resembling a Simpsons character towards the end of it). It's a horrible type of tiredness; I can only describe it as if someone just yanked your batteries out.
