I’ve recently been diagnosed with fatty liver disease, I’ve got my blood tests this week to see how bad I am.
The thing is I’ve literally never been ill and I’m now thinking I’m going to die due to this diagnosis! I can’t shake the fact that even me changing my diet won’t help me! I hate overthinking but I can’t shake it.

morning , try not to overthink things, I was told 30 yrs ago that I had “ a bit of a fatty liver” but not to worry as most adults in the western hemisphere have it to some degree . Was given no advice .
Move forward to 5 yrs ago I was diagnosed with chirrosis after a barrage of blood tests and scans .
I’m well ,had a bad year last year with recurring gall stone problems till surgery in November .
I abstain from alcohol and try to have a healthy diet and lifestyle.
If I had been given this life style advice when my fatty liver was diagnosed I may not of gone on to develop chirrosis .
Try to stay positive , use the information you find from the liver trust advice pages and write down any questions you have to ask your GP / Consultant.
