Has anyone heard of this new treatment “Liver Dialysis’ apparently cleans your liver out of toxins, improves your bloods? I’m seeing my transplant team for the first time on 9th Aug and apparently I think I’m boarderline if I need a transplant, so was wondering if this treatment would be better for me? Any thoughts?
Hi, I think this is only used for patients with Acute Liver Failure and from what I have seen it extends the time to transplant for these patients. Where are your transplant team based and is it a transplant assessment that you are having in August?
oh ok, it’s interesting cause I show no symptoms just my bloods are low and have fatigue my ELD score is 54 and I have varices I feel I don’t need a transplant just a boost in my bloods
it’s still in the clinical trial phase so not generally available
