So partner needs transplant, had assessment app last week but got cancelled due to being an in patient in hospital with sepsis. Infection cleared but today doc said kidneys not doing so well today. He has bleeding from lips and nose due to low platelets but they have said they are not giving him platelets cause it only works short term to clott blood. They are putting him back on treatment for kidneys. Anyway asked about transplant assessment app they are going to speak with them tomorrow to see where we stand because when they stop treating him for things everything goes wrong again and they can't see him being well enough to be an outpatient to go, so they are asking if he can go as an inpatient. If they say no it looks like home with palliative care to spent the rest of time with us. I keep thinking they are going to say he is not well enough to go through assessment or operation plus consultant says they have already got concerns with giving transplant due to him being in system for so long. Anyone else experienced this, I am so worried.....
