Frankly terrified right now. My wife and I just found out that she has three masses, two in her liver one near a rib. Largest in liver 15.3 x 10. We found out on a Friday night, so nobody to talk to until Monday. Is this treatable for your understanding?

I am so sorry you are going through this. I don’t know the answer to your question but I couldn’t just read and not respond. If you are not able to talk to your own consultant on Monday I would recommend calling The British Liver Trust helpline for advice, they are very helpful
Hi Chimdale, sorry to hear about your wife's situation, hopefully you will find out more from her doctor very soon. I know you are in the USA so we can't advise on what the treatment situation is over there but for a general overview on liver cancer and possibly some information on treatments the British Liver Trust has recently launched a liver cancer specific page at:- livercanceruk.org/ which may be of some use.
Hi, it is really scary when you first hear news like this. I can’t say whether it’s treatable in your wife’s case, only her doctors can do that. What I can say is that they can do amazing things now. My Dad had a liver resection with almost half his liver removed to take out tumours. Unfortunately he had one tumour they couldn’t remove, but they must have thought it had a good chance of success for them to do the procedure. Hopefully you’ll get to talk to someone tomorrow and you can get some answers.
Hang in there, I know the waiting is scary and no doubt you’re trying to put on a brave face for your wife. I’d send you a big hug but your wife might not like that!
