How accurate is the NAFLD online calculator? Did anyone use this tool and found it to be fairly accurate after receiving test results from your doctor? I am finally getting my Fibroscan results tomorrow (after 6 weeks) and my anxiety is kicking in. I contacted the nurse about a month ago via email and she only said the Fibroscan verified that I have fatty liver and the doctor would go over results at my appt. She did not confirm any numbers or mention fibrosis.

NAFLD online calculator
Hi Tenngirl, the NAFLD online calculator is used primarily by US medics when calculating your risk of NAFLD. However, I would strongly suggest waiting to see your clinician as they will use this tool only as part of the assessment of your liver and have the clinical expertise to interpret these results. If you have blood test results, take a look at this fibrosis calculator.hepatitisc.uw.edu/page/clin...
Statistically speaking it's pretty good measure if you're score is very low, meaning no fibrosis or if it's very high meaning a lot of fibrosis. However even then it's all statistics, and all these different calculator results need to be assessed by your doctor and put into the whole picture (ultrasound, ct, fibroscan...).
Sucks having to wait for results, however if the nurse said you have fatty liver, but nothing else, then I doubt their keeping something more sinister as a surprise for when you come in.
