Hi there guys, wishing you all well. Hubby is awaiting the gift of a new liver and has been on the list for 6 weeks now. Not long I know but feels like an eternity. He’s keeping as active as possible and is feeling reasonably well considering but I’ve noticed over the last week that when he is lying down or we are relaxing on the sofa he has these involuntary jerks. His hands are also a bit shakey too. He didn’t even realise that they where happening until I told him. He has an appointment with the dr on Monday but was just wondering if anyone has had any experience or info. Any feedback is much appreciated.

It could well be Asterixis, (liver flap) a motor disturbance commonly associated with end stage liver disease and hepatic encephalopathy. It's basically appears as a flapping tremor with jerky and irregular flexion-extension movements at the wrist and fingers, even whole arms. It can be more pronounced when person is relaxed.
As always it may be worth reporting his new symptom to his Dr's in case they want to adjust any medication or advice.
It's great that he's otherwise feeling reasonable and staying active as he's able considering everything. I hope the rest of your wait isn't too taxing and you're able to have some kind of normal whilst being on standby.
