So my friend's blood pressure stabilized after a drop that occurred after ascites drained. But his reports show his liver is functioning only 10% and fluid has accumulated all over body, including lungs.
Will they be able to drain the fluid? What can we expect in terms of recovery?

Hi livepositive I am sorry to see your friend is struggling at present,.
Myself, I had recurring fluid retention, ascites, in my legs, even past my knees, fingers, hands etc.. I had three drains done in 6 weeks, your friends liver is struggling at the moment, hence why his body keeps filling up with fluid .
Unfortunately I can't say how things will turn out for your friend but I do know of people who can live with 10% of a functioning liver.
Your friend really needs to do everything that is requested and required of the medical team. Rest, plenty of nutrition, if he can't eat much then he Should be on fortisip drinks and shakes to build up his strength aa the other organs in the body will be suffering.
I will 🙏🏼 pray that things turn around for your friend.
I can't diagnose as I'm not a medical professional.
May I suggest that if he is still in hopsital that you liaise with his doctors and medical team for personalised information regarding their condition and management plan .
