hi, Yes, feeling drained etc are common symptoms for those of us with liver disease. Liver disease can lead to a variety of physical and metabolic changes in the body that contribute to these feelings. Some potential causes include the liver's reduced ability to filter toxins, regulate metabolism, and produce essential proteins.I take it you are under a specialist and are getting regular check ups?I know it’s the same old script, but I am convinced that my diet and exercise took me from decompensated to compensated. Obviously, my liver had to have enough healthy cells to recover, but that would never have happened if I had not been kind to myself. Eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats can support overall health and reduce strain on the liver. Drinking adequate water as long as you are not on liquid restriction is important and I cannot stress this enough, stay away from sugar. Three cups of coffee was a recommendation I gratefully embraced. Fresh juices and water helps the liver flush out toxins and supports various bodily functions. Make sure any medications you take are as light on the liver as possible and try to control your weight . Resting through the day, twenty minutes a couple of times and a good nights rest if possible is also a good contributor to controlling your issues Reject processed foods if you can, if not then please watch the salt levels If you can engage in stress reduction therapies, spiritual or meditative activities can also help, well, it did me but we are all different

It all depends on the severity of your condition as to which path you choose to go down, all I know is that if I had been educated at 21 in the benefits of the lifestyle I now have and had felt the effects of that lifestyle on my body, I would most likely not have gone down the paths I did. I don’t know how old you are but any effort is worth a decent quality of life. All the best.

Brilliantly put. Following similar for the last 5 months since diagnosis. Stable now, hopefully be compensated in the spring.

cammeag’s comment is spot on! Early on when I started eating right for my liver and my disease, it felt like I wasn’t making much progress. But I kept the course and one day I realized I was feeling a lot better, more energy, gaining muscle mass, etc. and within about ten months I was compensated and had a great quality of life! I personally went very high protein for a few months and that helped a lot but everyone is different so you’ll find what is right for you. Hang in there, trust the process, it does work, it just takes patience to turn that first corner. Please do not do what I’ve seen too many do, lose faith, patience and give up. Stay the course and you will see the reward!

Yes I feel lousy every day. But it’s a very weird thing. Either I have enough energy to walk 2 miles without a problem or I can’t get off the sofa, all in the same day. I also have much more energy later in the day. Mornings are a complete washout for me.

Is there any pattern to your symptoms? This is such a strange disease. Sometimes I feel like I’m doing better and then WHAM a new weird symptom just to remind me I’m not well.

In addition to diet, rest, and exercise, I recommend massage/acupressure. It provides some relief to sore muscles and joints.

It did for me. 😊. Now, the soreness is gone.

Sure. I remember being so sore. Massage and reflexology. It wasn’t through the medical system. Just some nice well known Asian retail establishment. It helped. I told my primary care and he said that it was an excellent idea.

I hope it helps you. I was going really often. They knew my phone number 😂
