A partial liver transplant is from a living donor. You should ask your transplant coordinators for more information regarding this. They prefer someone under the age of 45, if I remember correctly. Normally it would involve asking family and/or friends.

I take it you arn't in the UK. Under our NHS the life donation programme only (usually) considers familial donors (although recently read of a altruistic donation but this isn't yet common in UK unlike for kidney).
It is a huge operation for the donor, they have to be a blood match, healthy and make the decision themselves. Our t/p unit provided us with this leaflet when hubby was deemed suitable for a split/live liver transplant. services.nhslothian.scot/Sc...

I think is just luck my dad got listed on 3/9/20 and got a call on 4/9/20 ! 1 day on the list we couldn’t believe it there was also another man got called for a day after dad he was listed same day as dad although his wasn’t a compatible match so he went back home he was then called for 2 days later and thankfully that was a match for him, they did say they are getting lots of livers through now so hopefully your match will come soon x
