Firstly, thank you to you all for your support and all your positive vibes! I am actually astounded by my partner’s progress. After he was told by the consultant yesterday that he would be tube fed unless he started eating, he has come on leaps and bounds. He has eaten everything in sight, taken his medication and having regular fluids. He is still a bit wobbly but he is gaining strength every day.
The consultant saw him today and said that his liver function has improved considerably and if he continues to gain strength he may be able to come home over the weekend. I didn’t expect this news at all! His jaundice has started to fade too!!
They did reiterate the prognosis again but I’m choosing to ignore that. I know we have a long road ahead of us which won’t always be easy and I’m trying to be as positive as I can and look forward to the future with my partner.
