I have recently been diagnosed with AIH and was interested in any advice on what type of Diet would be best to follow?

There is no set diet for someone with AIH - don't rush to so called Auto Immune Fad diets etc. Normal healthy eating advice is usually the way to go.

If you do Facebook at all you will find the UK & NI Autoimmune Hepatitis Support group and they have over 2000 members all of whom have experience with AIH plus they hold regular seminar type get togethers, the recent one had an information session all about AIH and diet (presented by a Gastroenterology Dietician).

You'll find the group at:- facebook.com/groups/AIHorgUK/

I tried linking to the file of the slide show from the event but because the above group is a closed group you can't view unless a member of the page.

Well worth joining for access to their files pages.

All the best,

Katie
