Was on LTL but was taken off because tumor(s) have returned in right portal vein. T4(b). Am now receiving Opdivo infusions. Need to know outcome or other options available. Had Tabe procedure 3 times which got rid of HCC but now TIV..Timor in right portal vein completely blocking it.

Good morning,
I am very sorry to learn that you have been taken off the transplant waiting list - this must have been a terrible blow for you. Hopefully the Nivolumab (Opdivo)will have a positive impact and this will show up on your next scan. Depending on your circumstances and your oncology team there may be other options - definitely something to discuss with your oncology team
regards and best wishes to you
I have had 52 treatments of Opdivo over 2 years. The tumor has shrunk 50% and AFP from 25,000 to 2. Feel great. Minor fatigue and joint pain. Portal vein still issue. But, very thankful. Wish you the best.
Do you go every 2 weeks or once a month? I was going every 2 weeks but now they want me to go once a .month with double dose. In Oct. tumor was 10 - 11 cm...now 6.9 cm. in Jan. Just scared to what will happen next. Have cirrhosis, portal hypertension..esophageal varices.small..and enlarged spleen..gallstone....Fun times ahead..huh..had TABE 3 times which had resolved to or in "section 8" but it returned in vein..which took me off LTL. Isn't there any other treatments besides Opdivo?
