Does anyone else suffer chest pain and anxiety and upset at the thought of someone dying? Some people seem better prepared to deal with it than others. This road is very painful distressing and lonely

Aww eekk, I am truly so sorry for the way you are feeling. I am the cirrhosis sufferer in my family, and just now, are able to look after myself.
The burden, both financially and emotionally it puts on carers needs more exposure in the news.
Do you have anyone to help share your heavy load.......friends, family etc.
In my church, we have a group to help lonely people and carers, with respite care, visits, tea afternoons and lunches throughout the year. There is no pushing religion on people, we feel it's just the right thing to do. Maybe your local church has a similar group, that you could use to give you a break and company.
I hope you feel better about your sad situation very soon,
You are both in my thoughts and prayers🙏🙏🙏
David
Nobody helps.
Currently on a very long waiting list to see if someone from the local hospice service can visit an hour a week.Cannot really get out much and government stripped us of any money to enable us to do so even if we wanted to.The finances definately have a large impact on the emotions. When the money is removed all you can do is sit in one place day after day with no hope of having any money to move from that chair
Hi again eekk,
My wife Annie has suggested Age Concern. Marie Curie and Macmillan, as possible sources of respite for you.
In South Bucks, where we live, there are organisations to support carers.
Namely Bucks Careers and Rennie Grove Hospice Care. Annie used to work at the latter one as a palliative care nurse, after retiring as a Matron at our local NHS Trust, and now is a helping hands support volunteer for people like you, giving companionship, and trips out for the carer, whilst the care and district nurses are there.
Is there anything like that where you live? Maybe your local social services will know.
I have a friend who was a CAB volunteer, so I will ask him if there is any financial help for carers in your situation. I will let you know how that goes.
Take Care,
David
