Good evening everyone

Thank you for all your recent kind words and support. Had the palliative care team go in today and see my dad and they are getting him into a nursing home in the next two days. All the weeks of stressing and me having a nervous breakdown they finally listened. Palliative nurse said my dads care is appalling and his been seriously neglected only been screaming this for 2 months or more !!! I’ve been told his not got much time left but at least what time he has he he will be looked after properly and I won’t be driving myself mad trying to look after him

Hi

You must be so relieved. Like you said you've mean screaming for help for months now, at least he's got the help you both so deserve. I do hope the nurse goes back and complains to whoever needs it. Your husband who sounds brilliant will also be relieved. I will be thinking of you all. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. If you need to pm me feel free to do so. Love and hugs to you all Lynne xxxx

Hi Jo.

So glad that your dads care has been successfully sorted. It sounds like he is in good hands and will get the care and medication that he needs now. What a huge relief for you after all the worry and battling that you had to go through to make this happen. Hope that you are able to relax now and take care of yourself.

Very best wishes. Alf.

Hi Jo,

That's great news that your Dad is going into a nursing home. It will be good for him, and respite for you. I'm sorry to hear he is on palliative care, but at least they will make him comfortable.

You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

It's good to know that someone is FINALLY doing something for your dad. It's awful that it took so long, though.
