When my fun liver disease journey began, I started getting weekly acupuncture treatments. I'm a very science based person and know there isn't much objective evidence to how or if it works. I think it helped me in two ways. Placebo. Don't poo poo placebo. It can be a powerful thing! Mindfulness. The treatments forced me to remain still and calm and be focused on me and my thoughts. There is much evidence that stress reduction and meditation has positive effects. I now take a Tai Chi class. Again taking time for me. Prioritizing my health and well being is a huge deal. The class includes a meditation session as well.

If it works. Do IT!!! You only have one life and one you.

Hugs and Health!

I meditate regularly using headspace (other on line sites are available 😀) and find it great. I know it has made me calmer and more able to deal with things. Being more relaxed and less stressed is important. I feel less aches and pains than before, that might just be the passing of time but I’m pretty sure it’s helped.

Hi kuda123, I know mindfulness helped me too. I say that retrospectively as I’m sorry to say I’ve neglected my practice. There’s tons of scientific evidence now which proves beneficial effects from MRI scans of the brain. I absolutely know it’s great for us that are living with difficult symptoms. I believe it helps to stop us reacting to symptoms and gives a subtle space between feeling them and reacting to them automatically. It’s stress reacting that makes for our discomfort a lot of the time. Symptoms are real enough but the ability to notice and let go saves a lot of pain and distress. I used to practice vipassana meditation, they should prescribe it, a life saver. It’s discipline to practice I need back again. Keep going don’t stop, that I think is the best thing. It’s great for everything, just living, relationships, health, to numerous to mention. All good wishes to you.

I have used meditation for some years have taken the Free Mindfulness course but also a ™ course which I paid for

Using the most suitable parts of each I find meditation very useful but not a 100% cure

Would be interested to hear more details of the MBSR 30 day course

It's not a cure but my hepa told that there is a possible link between stress and liver related mortality .....It is not a cure for any disease but stress in liver disease impairs blood flow to the liver causing more fibrosis

MBSR is a 1 hour daily mindfulness practice at our university hospital in INDIA

Many thanks for your reply, but a long trip from Cornwall in UK & most likely similar to the ones practised here, much as I would like to visit your lovely country, best wishes for the future

Being active (exercise) cures everything, being lazy and idle cures everything. it is the people who do things normally are not getting cured.

When there is quiet, you can make a very balanced and reasonable decision. This is helped by meditation and immersion in yourself as if all the wisest things in you wake up and edit your life correctly. The main thing is to prepare for this accordingly and gain the necessary knowledge to lead to the desired result partnersinfire.com/lifestyl.... We need to understand that life is only one, and without taking any risks, we will turn into a component of something and disappear. Look for yourself and do your favorite things
