Hi there.on going back to work I have an appointment with the company’s occupational health doctor about returning to work.I’ve been off on full pay for seven months now after only having four weeks sick entitlement so work have been amazing with me.i had my TP in February and it’ll be four months since the operation that I’m looking to go back.obviously a fazed return on light duties but I’m not so sure as I still haven’t the energy I had but improving daily I think.my partner was given a week off compassionate leave when I was in hospital but it was made abundantly clear she wouldn’t have a job if she was off any longer.thats compassion for you.lol anyway I hope you’ve still got your job.its so hard when a partner becomes ill.wish you luck !! Paul

Paul has Tp made life a little easier though I'm hoping my husband will get that rather than being drained every 3 weeks

Hi,

I was end stage decompensated and needed to be drained every three weeks. I was transplanted 10 months ago, it has changed everything for the better. Due to my blood group, I was on the list for 19 months.

I wish you every success, it really is very difficult.

Mark.

My hypertension,asities.HE.varicies,Edemas and puritis have gone so the answer is yes a TP has transformed my life and hopefully I’ll have a future.i found that as the disease progresses so does the fluid on your stomach well it did with me anyway and no amount of diuretics we’re doing anything except damaging my kidneys.so I’m four months since having the op and it’s been a struggle I won’t lie and I’ve had real anxiety over the different pains you have as your body heals.but as I never knew what to expect I was worried a lot thinking the worst.but as the weeks pass so do the pains and I’m still trying to get my fitness back so I’ll have to wait and see.so after seeing my works doctor he going to tell my work that I’ll need to relocate within the company.as I’m a hands on Gas Engineer he’s going to recommend me as the new office boy or tea boy or something for six months lol but it’ll be down to work if there is a position.im not really concerned anymore if there’s nothing for me.for some reason after being close to dying you really put things into perspective and working comes second to living.so I do wish you well.and I know it’s not easy for you both but you will get through it. Paul

Hi Linkinpark,

I've just caught up on your/others correspondence which sounds like great news on the work front and I'm so pleased that stress part has been relieved slightly.

Take care my friend
