Please, please Richard and snoutie don't leave, your help, knowledge and support are invaluable. Ignore the trolls and ignorance of others, try to rise above it as they're not worth it x

Perfectly said .these guys are 2 great people miracle men we need them on here badly .

That's very kind of you, l really do appreciate all the comments of support. My passion to want to help others and share my knowledge and experiences is still as strong as ever, l am convinced that my donor liver is my driving force to want to do this, as the old Richard would have given up years ago. It was always my intention to try and educate others as to the medical conditions associated with alcohol-related liver disease.

I have been involved with the Alcohol Health Alliance, and have now joined the BASL (British Association for the study of the Liver). They have an Annual meeting coming up in September up in Strathclyde which l'm thinking if attending. One of the items being debated is, Alcohol & Metabolic Liver Disease. Which obviously l have an interest in.

I have always advocated that knowledge is power, and the more knowledge and understanding l can share with others, is my ambition. It also gives me the opportunity to offer constructive feedback with those within the medical profession. So, l have an number irons still in the fire. I also have my on going commitment with the Liver Transplant Support Group at the QE Hospital Birmingham.

How is your poor hubby doing? Have you managed to get a doctors appointment yet? I had problems with my local GP practice some years ago. I shopped around and joined another practise. Don't be afraid to shop around.

Good luck, and once again, thank you.

I agree totally. I think I missed some of what was going on but Snoutie was always very supportive of people, esp those going through the whole transplant process. As for you, Richard, well you are so on the ball with what’s going on in the medical world and we need people who are survivors, who can encourage others to continue their struggles and show them there very often is light at the end of the tunnel.

Phoenix, I would include yourself in your list. Your replies to others are always knowledgeable and worthy.

I agree that the stern teachers made you listen. In my case it must have been the cane on their desk 🤣🤣 As an aside, my daughter reminded me of the times we used to sit and listen to my music, as a result I have just listened to Steely Dan, timeless music. Transported me back to the day😁😁

Guys, I’ve been on here for ages, lurking in the shadows for ages. My sister joined here when I was first diagnosed about 3 years ago and raved about how much she had learned from you all and how it helped her(a situation that is vastly under appreciated) understanding the illness and everything that goes along with it. I was too much of a ‘jessy’ to want to know all the ins and outs. I just used to be laying down and letting them do whatever. Sorry, tangent alert 🚨.

She got so much from the people on this site that I’ll have to leave it to the early 90s disco pop sensation K.W.S. And their phenomenal single “Please don’t go” to sum up most if not all of the people on the sites feelings
