How Diet is so important with Liver Cirrhosis and what a improvement in my Wife's blood results that we received today

Just to give you an update to how diet is very important with Liver Disease my Wife's serum ferritin levels were 1915 on the 31st Jan (very high) on the 28th March they were 817 what an improvement also her serum transferrin is improving from 0.8 to 1.4 and now her transferrin saturation Index is normal 30 (it was 87) Her diet is all Plant based organic where possible, NO Diary at all, she takes apple cider Vinegar mixed with Alkaline Water and a herbal product called Serrapeptase 250,000IU High Strength Tablet 1st thing in morning on empty stomach she as with lots of veg and fruit throughout the day and she may have a black coffee once a day, she as a Infrared sauna Once a day for 30 minutes and last thing at night chop up 2 garlic cloves and that will sit for 15 mins before taking with glass of water. In January this year she was in a wheel chair and could not walk and now the last week she is doing around 9 to 10,000 steps per day.

Diet is very important. Don't get that confused with quack remedies like apple cider vinegar and alkaline water.

I dont know anything about all those added extras but quiting alcohol normaly results in a huge improvement in blood results.

Cirrhosis is still there but the liver has far less work to do if it does not have to filter out the extra toxins.

Hi healthy eating and exercise are crucial...not so sure about supplements etc. You have to be so careful with what you take. Personally the healthy eating and exercise works for me. Well done and keep going
