Hiya, has anyone ever been to a Liver Trust Roadshow and had a Fibroscan. It says that the first 100 may be offered a scan. Does anyone know if these events get really busy and you may not get seen please?

Liver Trust Roadshow
I didn't know there's a limit to the number they do? I thought they would do one for any person with risk factors?
April1970,
Thank you for posting about the British Liver Trust Roadshow.
For anyone planning to attend.
"Please be aware that these events are run to raise awareness and are not diagnostic. We cannot offer a FibroScan check to people already diagnosed with a liver condition and/or under the care of a healthcare professional, or patients who have received a liver transplant."
For up to date information you can follow the British Liver Trust Facebook page and our website.

Hi April1970
The British Liver Trust Love Your Liver campaign aims to raise public awareness of liver health risk factors, in order to prevent liver disease and improve early detection.
Love Your Liver encourages adults to take three simple steps to good liver health – reduce alcohol consumption, improve diet and exercise and reduce the risk of contracting viral hepatitis.
Our specially equipped mobile scanning unit tours the country, raising awareness, providing information and advice and offering free screening and scanning to check for potential liver damage.
During the remainder of 2019, we have roadshows taking place in London, Northern Ireland, North West England, Scotland, Wales and Southern England. The latest details are posted on our event map here:

We try to see as many people as we can on the day but we do normally shut by 4pm. If you do want to have a fibroscan we would suggest to arrive early.
If you have any concerns about your liver health, we would recommend you contact your GP in the first instance.
Best wishes
