Can somebody decipher this info please ?

Can somebody please tell me what this means please; my blood test revealed this my fibroscan is F4 witch I know to be cirrhosis , but I do not understand this ; I have a kPa of 27.1 with a wide IQR of 6.8 . Please help I can get no sense from anyone ?

You can look up the Fibroscan score charts for the KPA, but in layman's terms IQR in mathematics takes the average of some of your highest data readings and lowest readings and subtracts them, meaning you have almost 7 point difference in the KPA between some of the highest and lowest readings, technically it is the 75th percentile minus the 25th percentile getting rid of unusually low and high scores, I am not sure the exact formula for the Fibroscan but that is what IQR is

Kpa stands for kilopascals which is a unit of measurement used in this case to measure liver stiffness. The stiffness result is then guaged against a scale for fibrosis. Any score above 12.5kpa for most liver diseases is classed as F4. Alcoholic liver disease the kpa is 19 and above for F4. IQR is interquartile range. It has relevance but I wouldnt worry about it as it doesnt change the kpa score which is what matters.
