Unwell mum with liver cirrhosis

My mum was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis 4 years ago but fortunately she stopped drinking second time close to death thank goodness she stopped! But recently she has been saying she’s getting stomach pains, she’s not eating, she’s tired and has a bad stomach.... she recently had her routine blood test so my fingers are crossed. What do you think this means?

Is your mum under the care of a liver specialist? If she has cirrhosis she should be seeing them at least 6 monthly for scans and other monitoring and testing.

We would suggest your mum sees her GP, discusses her symptoms and has an examination. They will be able to refer her on to her liver specialist if needed for further investigations.
