Wow triple organ. That makes my one seem pretty insignificant! I suggest you talk to the transplant team. It might take considerably longer to get over your op than our’s. It the liver a ‘new’ one?

Hi Isabelle

I didn't have a liver transplant they put me in an induced coma and dialysis for my kidneys I spent 6 weeks in hospital it was touch and go just experiencing liver pain now xxx

Heya bintcliffe In all of the concrete information I have studied and come across, liver pain seems to still be classed as an undefined thing in the sense that doctors and journals say that the liver itself cannot be felt and the pain surrounding it is likely due to GI issues near the liver. They tend to like to refer to it as upper right quadrant pain as opposed to liver pain. Regardless I know the pain you speak of and it's likely residual from the beating you took In that area of the body whether its directly related to the liver itself or not. Swelling of the li er can cause it to press against other organs as well. Also I thi I to some degree all of us with li er issues tend to become extremly mentally aware of that area when we know it's been injured. I do believe this amplifies it to some extent as the liver actually sits to the right only in part as it also stretches across the front of the abdomen. I cant help but find it interesting to consider as since most people are unaware that it stretches across the front people dont complain about pain in the front. Regardless for the person expercieng it as I know from experience it can be quite tender feeling and very distracting mentally but if all other tests including scans are showing normal than perhaps you just need more time my friend.

Apologies for some of the grammar errors . This phone I'm using leaves much to be desired as far as its keyboard is concerned lol.
