I'm a 22 female, with a 2 year old. I had cholestasis during my pregnancy.
I've dealt with elevated liver numbers due to a fatty and enlarged liver. I cannot remember my numbers exactly. My GGT was over 400 and my ALT was over 300. They've come down since and both have stayed over 100-200. Along with the elevated numbers I experience pain, where the liver is located and the pain crosses my upper abdomen. The pain feels like a very strong ache and with that ache I also get sharp pains that come and go.
The sharp pains and aches, get bad and I end up going to the ER. Only thing they say is my liver numbers are elevated. They haven't been in the Normal range for months, maybe even over a year. Everything and all tests done come back normal and while that's good. It's the pain I experience that becomes exhausting. I'm working really hard on changing my diet.
I have an appointment with a liver specialist in about 6 months. They can't explain why I get these bad pains.

Hi and welcome 3gs
11 weeks after my transplant I started to get pains in areas like you have. Doctor felt wound and said it was hot in two places. He said he would have given me anti biotics because it seemed like an infection but thought the transplant hospital should deal with it because they would probably want to do more tests. Sent me back to the hospital doctors. There the doctor, with her gloves on, basically dismissed giving me all sorts of reasons why there might be pain. I might have bought into that if the pain had been there all along but it hadn’t! She imho begrudgingly said we’ll do an ultra sound scan at next clinic 2 weeks away - which is now this Monday!
It’s always a waiting game these days 😑
So have you had a scan of any sort ultrasound, CT, MRI?
