Anyone been told liver biopsy sample wasn’t good/clear enough for pathologist and needs to be redone as now inconclusive?? help! 😫

Anyone been told biopsy sample wasn’t clear/good enough for pathologist and needs to be redone?!

What causes this? Really don’t want another one after my experience last time :(

Yes I was told the sample of tissue wasn't either large enough/ good enough can't remember exactly and I would have to have biopsy redone. Like you I'd had a bad experience with that particular biopsy so when I went to have it redone I explained the situation to the very sympathetic radiographer who gave me extra local anesthetic and I had no discomfort at all 😀

Yep tissue sample was fine second time, my first biopsy was the worst experience ive had 5 more since then and honestly ive had more discomfort having my eyebrows threaded lol. I do always ask for extra local though😁
