Apart from the nausea which my hubby doesn't have (thankfully) you could be describing his symptoms in your post - been like that since diagnosis in 2012 and it's really debilitating. Like you say it's not just a physical tiredness but an absolutely draining mental fatigue too. Hubby is diagnosed with currently compensated cirrrhosis due to AIH and mild HE (treated with lactulose and rifaximin).
Whilst it might seem counterintuitive when you are so worn out but a little bit of exercise is brilliant at boosting your mental and physical health - a walk in the outdoors is amazing at boosting endorphines and does provide a lift.
All the best to you, Katie
Hi Dave,
What you describe is pretty similar to what I experienced and I would imagine quite a few people on this forum have also experienced. Its a bit of sod really isn't it! All I can say is just adjust as much as you can, do what you can and when anything is just too much just stop, rest and start again when you feel like it. Even doing little bits is helpful, even though not that easy when all you want to do is go to sleep.
