Hello, hope everyone is doing well?!

Update::: by adding vitamin E,cinnamon, and milk thistle to my diet - my ( liver ) test results came back normal after a year .

I will add this though- I did watch the fat in my diet and sugar content. Also , I drank apple cider vinegar about twice a month!——only two ounces .

Sometimes, I used in my salads..don’t forget water is our best friend!!!!

Drink for your health- blessings, Wintertime1

Can I ask please, why would you want to take any of these? Especially if your liver is damaged. Milk Thistle is a BIG fat no no. Coumarin that can be found in a lot of plants (including cinnamon) can be dangerous if someone already has liver damage. Vitamin E is A a fat-soluble antioxidant. I'm not sure if this is a good idea to take if you already have fatty liver disease.

If these haven't been found to have any scientific or medical benefit I wouldn't want to take a gamble with my already damaged health. Plus, a lot of people with liver-related issues are most likely on a course of medication, these may differ from patient to patient. By adding a concoction of other remedies into the mix, may well have a detrimental effect upon those prescribe drugs, and thus cause even more damage or problems in the long run.

The Internet can be a very dangerous source of knowledge, as a lot of people are trying to promote and sell something. They'll preach about the wonders of their drug or treatment. It's a bit like those old western films, where Dr Jeremiah's wagon would arrive in the town, selling the wondrous virtues of Dr Jeremiah's magic elixir.

I would honestly seek medical advice from the person who's treating my condition, rather than from something I'd come across on Goggle. Just be careful.

Kind Regards

Richard.

Morning Richard 64. Doctor Jeremiah's Magic Elixir was also called " Snake Oil " when I was a lad, lol.

Hi, pretty new here and confused as to what I should and should not put in my body. Haven't started treatment yet, hopefully this week, have been diagnosed

hep c and fibrosis.🖖🙏

Hi,

The British Liver Trust does not recommend the use of homeopathic or herbal remedies for those with any liver problems as these have to be processed by the liver and can actually damage the liver and lead to severe illness.

More research needs to be done on the use and safety of such remedies and therapies.

If you have concerns about any prescribed medication or are considering using complementary or alternative remedies &/or therapies always discuss this with your doctor.

Best wishes,

BLT Admin

Your blood tests could be unrelated to what you are taking. There have been some studies in mice that showed that Turmeric may have some protective properties and some studies have indicated that vitamin E may reduce inflammation but these need to be verified in clinical trials. You don't even know what would be the correct dose if any of these things are active?

I eat Leto bread made in a ceramic bowl. 1 T olive oil in bowl I’m going to cook in: other bowl one egg, 1 t sour cream, 1.5 T almond flour, 1.5 T grated ch es, 3/4 t baking powder. Stir well pour into oiled bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes. Let cool a bit and the brown in a pan with olive oil.
