If you're over 60 make an appointment to see Age UK. They are extremely helpful and will do their utmost to get the benefits you undoubtedly deserve e.g. Attendance Allowance etc.

If you're under 60 you should consult Citizens Advice Bureau. If you can't work through ill health there is help out there.

Good luck!

Local citizens advice bureau and/or council welfare rights department should be able to advise on what benefits you might be eligible to apply for. My hubby can't work due to his condition and he receives both Employment and Support Allowance (Support Group) & Personal Independence Payment (after a bit of a battle) - highest rate Daily Living and basic rate Mobility.

Perhaps you need someone to help you fill in the paperwork so you explain your condition and its effects better and 'prove' your difficulties. It's a horrid system when genuinely poorly people are made to jump through near impossible hoops to receive the help they need.
