Non-Alcohol Related Fatty Liver Disease is probably the quickest growing liver disease/health concern in the Western World at this point in time and it's largely due to our unfortunate habit of eating too much processed foods which are too high in fat, salts and sugars and taking too little exercise. It can also be a side effect of some medications and those with diabetes seem to be more prone to it too. A vast percentage of the population are walking around with this condition which they arn't aware of until it has advanced to the stage of becoming symptomatic.
The good news is most people can take steps to tackle NAFLD and can stop its progression and indeed reverse any damage. The fibroscan reading of 4.2 is good news too in that you are only showing slight fatty change and it hasn't reached the stage of fibrosis which a kPa reading of 6-7 would indicate in NAFLD.
Have a good look at the British Liver Trust page on NAFLD and see if there are any lifestyle changes you might be able to take to stop your liver from becoming worse and indeed help to reverse the fatty build up you currently have.

The main BLT page is great for advice on diet, living with liver disease and looking after your liver and is well worth a read.
The important thing is that now you know your liver is showing some signs of mild damage you don't ignore it and you can look after it a bit better going forward.
All the best,
