If you do Facebook there is an excellent AIH support group with over 1000 members who are either AIH patients themselves or like me carers/loved ones of AIH/Cirrhosis patients. My hubby has cirrhosis due to AIH although his auto-immune hepatitis has died out. It;s a closed group on F/B so only group members can see posts. Group has regular get togethers and is supported by some of the top AIH specialists in the UK.
Facebook group is at:- facebook.com/groups/AIHorgUK/
British Liver Trust has a web page with information leaflet on AIH at :- britishlivertrust.org.uk/li...
If you have particular questions then fire away. As I say my hubby has cirrhosis due to AIH, he isn't on any immune suppressants just 5mg Prednisolone a day to keep inflammation at bay. Most of his treatment is now to do with the side effects of having cirrhosis.
Keep posting.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
As Katie has kindly already said, The British Liver Trust do have a useful publication on Autoimmune Hepatitis
britishlivertrust.org.uk/li...
It may also be a good idea to find out more about your mum's specific condition from her GP and her liver specialist.
We hope that is helpful,
Warm wishes,
Rebecca
Have they not offered her a transplant x
