I have Ascites. Its the 3rd time in 5 years. I have always managed before to stabilize the fluid and return it to normal volumes. This time I cannot. My umbillical ending is blue and bulging. I can see one of my doctors tomorrow but she really is not a doctor I trust. I will have to wait to get into the liver center to see my doctor there.

You gp should send you to hospital to be drained.i was drained every week. Sis litres then in hospital to wait to get a bed at the royal free.you need to demand to go.good luck.

Hi CFJ, I'm so sorry you are having problems. You have been so brilliant at fighting this illness with exercise and diet, so I can understand your frustration at not being able to deal with this. I hope it is not too uncomfortable or causing breathing difficulties.

I'll be thinking of you, I hope you get to see a good Dr asap.
