Than you for all your support. I saw Jim briefly about midnight. He was about 10 hours from theatre to being settled in ICU. They were giving some noradrenalin to up his BP and fiddling with the sedation/respiratory equipment because it wasn't quite right. I'll ring once the staff have done the handover and then go home for a bit. I stayed by the hospital despite living in London. Can't really avoid it - I forgot to take or bring my own medication!

Thanks for the update. And advice to others still on the list and waiting.... Pack not only your hospital bag but make sure whoever accompanies you has everything they need too! Hope you have your meds now LAJ.
